Conservative dentistry
Caries leads to demineralization of tooth tissue and the formation of cavities. Precise diagnosis is one of the most important steps in planning of an effective conservative treatment. In our clinic we use laser diagnosis with fluorescence study and radiological tests. It allows us to distinguish between reversible and irreversible changes.
Reversible changes (early carious changes, without loss of the tooth tissue) can be treated noninvasively by ozone therapy or PAD (activated with laser light, deep disinfection of the tissue). Both methods, in combination with remineralisation of the tissue, allow to avoid the drilling and invasive treatment.
- PAD â in a place of the carious change appropriate chloride solution of toluene is rubbed. It binds to the wall of bacterial cells. After laser beam irradiation, bacterias? are cleaveged and dental caries is eliminated.
- Ozone therapy â this method consists of introducing appropriate dose of ozone within place of carious change. Changes are sterilised and reminalisated.
Irreversible changes (loss of tooth tissue) are treated with minimally invasive methods, what means maximum saving of the tissue. Instead of unreliable composite, we use aesthetic and functional ceramic posts.
Be careful! Abradable composite fillings are the fast way to parafunction, grinding and changes in the temporomandibular joint.
